This is an oil on canvas painting of a Royal Air Force Halifax Bomber in flight during World War two. The painting is by the late Eddie Baker, who created his art work in his studio in Powys, Wales. Eddie specialized in painting aviation and maritime subjects, and was especially skilled at creating images of the classic ocean liners of the 20th century. He also demonstrated a skill at reproducing images of airliners and classic aircraft from World War Two. This particular aircraft 'Friday the 13th' has been restored and can be viewed in the Yorkshire Air museum.
