This is a photograph of the abandoned second world war base at khor Kuwai that was operated by the Royal Navy. The photograph was taken from a passing Royal Navy ship circa 1959. The photo is in the collection of RN Veteran John Roberts. The base is also known as Khor Kawi. John visited the base several times in the late 1950s, when he was operating in the Persian Gulf on board HMS Locha Fada.
