"Our Stories" - Luen Fai Ng, by Chinese In Wales Association In this interview, Luen Fai Ng shares his inspiring journey of resilience and dedication. Born in Hong Kong, Luen Fai Ng arrived in Wales in 1960 at the age of 10 to join his brother in Ferndale, Rhondda, where his family owned a laundry business. Along with his wife, he later ran a successful takeaway in Abercynon for 25 years. Reflecting on the challenges of those early years, Luen Fai recalls working tirelessly, often without a day off, but slowly building a better life. His message is simple yet powerful: "Work hard. No matter what race you are, get to know each other." A true testament to determination and the value of community. Chinese In Wales Association (CIWA)is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
