This is a period map of the gulf of Aden circa 1959, which appears in the book "Into the eye of the Yemen - The lost soldier" by Derrick Clarke. The book is a narrative account of Derrick's experience of compulsory national service in the British Army between 1958 and 1960. The map is published with his permission, to enhance understanding of his account of the deployment to Aden with the Royal Warwickshire regiment.
