Disgrifiad

This is a photograph of British Army soldier Dai Dudley from the Royal regiment of Wales, undertaking his part in a three man team of soldiers whom swam the English channel. The swim was part of a triathlon, from Cardiff to Lemgo in Germany, where the soldiers were based. The soldiers raised a significant sum on money to help a local German children's centre in September 1987. Photographs and other documents relating to Dai's service in the RRW and Junior Leader regiment can be viewed on line in the David Dudley collection at West Wales Veterans Archive.
