Laugharne from Sir John's Hill.

Disgrifiadau

A view of Laugharne probably taken in the 1930s and before the council development of Orchard Park in the early1950s.
Sir John's Hill, traditionally pronounced " surgeon's hill" by Laugharne residents, is named after Sir John Perrott, who owned Laugharne Castle in the sixteenth century and died in the Tower of London. Some said that he was an illegitimate son of Henry 8th but this is very unlikely to be true. The hill itself is also the subject of the Dylan Thomas poem "Over Sir John's Hill".
