Karen Pimbley interviews independent dance artist Janet Fieldsend about her experience in contemporary dance in Wales. Starting as an independent dancer in the 1970s, she was instrumental in setting up Dance Wales with other independent dancers. She talks of the dance ecosystem in Wales in the 1980s and 90s, the development of Diversions Dance Company and how her role as an independent dancer/choreographer evolved.
