Disgrifiad

Although during the latter part of the 19th century Llandaff did not expand much, it became, as a result of Cardiff's growth, a much sought-after residential area. The fashion for new mansions was set by the industrial pioneers, such as the coal and ship-owner Walter Coffin, who bought Llandaff Court. Insole Court (also known as Ely Court) was built by James Harvey Insole in 1855.
