Anfonwyd y llun hwn atom gan Kathy Regan o’i gŵr yn sefyll ar ben yr eira. Dywedodd Kathy "I was working in our local hospital, at that time and on the morning when I was not due in to work until 1 pm and would be working until 9 pm, when my husband got up and went outside, the snow was level with the hedges. I got up and phoned in to tell the hospital that we were blocked in so no way for me to get to work. We lived down a track leading from a narrow country road, so we could not even get out to that even by walking. About 3 hours later, I got a phone call from the hospital and I was told that another member of staff who lived in the same area had got into work, however, as I explained she lived right beside the main road, which the gritting lorries had been through, so that was clear, whereas I lived about 1/2 mile from the main road, so I made a suggestion ie that if the hospital could send out a vehicle to pick me up I would willingly go into work! I heard nothing more. That was on Friday. On Saturday, there was no improvement, nor on Sunday. On Monday morning my husband went out to test the condition of the snow, and it had impacted down sufficiently for us to be able to walk across it to the main road, so packing a small backpack for me and phoning a local farmer to meet us pulling me up onto the drifts, behind him we managed to get to the main road walking across the still hedge height snow. The farmer took me to work. Where I had to stay, for 5 days. Another colleague had also been stuck at home and managed to get through the same day. One of us would have to cover for day duty and the other for night duty. There were no accommodation rooms left, so we were allocated to share a bed in a female doctor's bungalow, so we tossed a coin. My colleague chose nights so I did the day duty. I got the short straw as she would sleep in the bed during the day time then I slept in the same bed at night, BUT the female doctor snored very loudly all might, so by the time I managed to get home 5 days later, I was exhausted from being very busy on duty then getting very little sleep at night. What an experience, and not one that I would wish to repeat."
