Aberangell Village Entrance, Mid 1930s
Disgrifiadau
View from the Dyfi bridge towards the crossroads at the entrance to the village. This 1930s photograph of the entrance to Aberangell from the main road lacks quality and perspective but is the only one available that depicts the avenue of lime trees. They were cut down early in the 1940s as the lightweight wood was much in demand for aeroplane frames as well as artificial limbs for wounded soldiers. From the collection of Gwyndaf Breese
