Cwmllecoediog Lodge and Gates, Aberangell, Early 1930s. A Lodge was an essential status symbol to all gentry as it controlled the private road that led to their residence. Cwmllygodig Lodge and its rather low key wooden gates was occupied by various members of staff during the Walton’s occupancy, ranging from the butler to the steward. The Lodge was the home of the local Forester Robert Frazer and his wife during the 1930s and 1940s. and the gates later removed. From collection of Gwyndaf Breese
