Angell Falls Aberangell, late 1920s. A series of cataracts on the River Angell better known locally as the ‘fishing box falls’. They took this name from a wooden ‘box’ erected as a shelter and stores for fishermen on the rock above by the Waltons who owned the rights. Just above was a weir which diverted water to the saw mill and the electric generators. From collection of Gwyndaf Breese
