Image 1:

The north wall of the chapel, showing the upper and lower windows and a selection of old commemorative plaques (scroll down for details).

Image 2:

Most of the lower windows have been blocked off, but this one on the north wall is pierced by a small rectangular light.

Image 3, 4:

The west wall of Christ College Chapel. The main entrance (above left) is under a canopy bearing the organ and a decorated balcony. The view (above right), shows the ceiling and west wall. Both photographs reveal a structural fault in the stonework, tracking upwards from the lower left corner.

Image 5:

Plaster has been removed from the north and west walls revealing further evidence of structural faults in the stonework. Work is currently under way to rectify these faults.

Plaque commemorating the life and death of Rev Theophilus Jones (1759-1812), author of the first definitive history of Breconshire. His work was published in two volumes in 1805 and 1809.

Near this Place lies Interr'd the Body of THOMAS LLOYD late of this Town Esqr who Died May the Second 1755 Aged Eighty three.
He was Eldest Son of THOMAS LLOYD of Cayre in the Parish of Llangamarch in this County Gent: This Monument was Erected by his Neice & sole Executrix Mrs SARAH LLOYD of this Place.
HERE lies interr'd in the same Grave the above Mrs SARAH LLOYD, who Marrying JOHN BULLOCK, Esqr of this Town, HE at the request of her said Uncle took the Name of LLOYD SHE Died the 26th day of October 1769 Aged 43 and left Issue one only Son Named THOMAS.
Here also was buried the above named JOHN BULLOCK LLOYD Esqr who died 21st August 1792 Aged 62.

Near this Place lyeth the Body of Elizabeth Pryse, Relict of Charles Pryse M:A: late Chanter of St Davids. She departed this Life the 30th of July 1733 Aged 62.
