This is a photograph that shows the 'Orb W.M A.F.C' or 'Orb Working Men's Athletic Football Club'. The location of where this photograph was taken is unknown. This football team was one of the early predecessors to Newport County AFC. It is believed this photograph dates from 1908. This picture was donated to the Lysaght Institute by Orb Steelworks when it closed its doors in 2020. It has been made possible to share this picture through the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
