William Henry Jordan
Was born Newport, Mon in April 1901 and was living in Archibald Street Newport, Mon, with his Wife Emily and daughter Irene and worked at Lyaghts as a Feeder on the Galvanising, William was an Air Raid Warden and was on duty on the 1st of July 1941 when a German plane bombed Newport, William was killed in the raid, it is believed he was warning the residents of Eveswell street when he was killed. He was aged 40and he his buried in Christchurch Cemetery Newport, Mon.
