Clifford Henry Hayward
Was born Newport, Mon in July 1919 and was living in Christchurch Road, Newport, Mon, with his parents Herbert and Elsie and worked at Lyaghts as a Marker, Clifford was a Sargent Air Gunner in the Royal Air Force (Volunteer Reserve) and his plane crashed in the sea while returning from a raid and he died of his injuries on the 5th October 1943, aged 24 he his buried in Christchurch Cemetery, Newport, Mon.
