'Grandpa' Smith would be my great, great grandfather, Richard Smith, born 1841, and his wife Mary Ann (Skinner) Smith, born 1845. Both died in Newton, Porthcawl, and are buried in St. John the Baptist Church yard. Is this building still standing? If so, what is the street address, please.

Hi Vickie, thank you so much for the information about your great, great, grandfather and grandmother. It's great to be able to put names to the image. The Inn is still standing and still under the same name, The Globe Inn on Bridgend Road, Newton, Porthcawl. Perhaps it's worth a visit to see if there are any other photos of of Richard and Mary?
Many thanks for your comments. Berian
