Garth Foel farm was never owned by the Williams family. It was owned by the Lloyds. In 1900 by Edmund Lloyd, preceeded by his father Evan. Followed by Edmunds brother Owen, followed by their sister Elizabeth, followed by her daughter Enid, who sold it to Beatrice (cousin) who by that time was a widow.

My grandmother, Anne Jones of School Street, Penrhyndeudraeth is in this photo along with her parents, William and Laura Jones (nee Davies), her five sisters, Sarah, Laura and Mary (twins), Maggie and her own twin Nell and her brother William. Sarah married John Lloyd Williams of Croesor and lived there all her life. Laura married Robert Hughes and lived most of her married life in Flint. Mary died young. Maggie married John Jones of Trefeglwys, Montgomeryshire eventually settling in Croesor where I remember her running the Post Office from the front room of her house. William married Maggie Jones of Minfordd. Nell married David Price and lived in Cwm Cynfal and later Tanygrisiau. Ann married Edward Jones of Porthmadog. They had 4 daughters; Laura, Betty, Sarah and Maggie. Mum still has the original of this photo!
